Stripes down the middle, gingham at the sides. A fine red-and-white candy stripe runs the full length of the front, framed by gingham panels cut on the bias so the checks sit on an angle, then turn straight again where they gather into a soft flounce near the hem. Up close it reads playful; from across the room the long vertical stripe does the slimming work.
